The Company
Lancashire-based web specialist, Bespoke, develops tailor-made software and has invested heavily in a new baseline e-commerce system. This allows the firm to build flexible, custom websites at extremely competitive prices.
This platform is highly-sought after by clients as it can be tailored to their exact needs and wishes, whilst eliminating additional in-house build costs.
Bespoke had given no consideration to R&D tax credits, which have since provided a windfall to boost future innovation.
The Solution
A detailed analysis of Bespoke’s R&D activities identified a spend on development. Within a short timescale, Champion’s pro-active R&D specialists had produced a report to submit to HMRC. This resulted in a cash refund of tax paid, which is funding future R&D programmes.
“R&D has massively changed our decision making and encouraged us to innovate and invest. Clients that use our software can also claim relief, helping to cut their own costs and enhance our position when pitching for future business.”
Steve Brennan, managing director, Bespoke
Champion Accountants has so far helped SMEs claim more than £40million in R&D relief – with a 100 per cent success rate.
