Really great businesses attract great people and Champion has a great team.
But what makes Champion and its team great? What are Champion’s values and
are the team happy to share and embrace them?
In February 2007 I started meeting regularly with the team members across the Group
to explore what makes Champion a truly great business and what values the Champion
team display and believe in.
Initially working in small groups and then coming together for an afternoon’s
workshop, the expectation had been to draw up a list of shared behaviours. But the
results proved to be much more impressive and dynamic.
Champion’s Culture is a working tool which is used as a benchmark for
team behaviour towards one another and Champion clients. What’s more it is
a tool created and developed by the team members themselves.
I would like to thank the team members who took part in this project and made it
such fun and a success.
On a personal note it has given me much pleasure and immense pride to watch the
development of the project, experience the enthusiasm of the team and to see
the end result.
