Mark Turner FCA

Position: Client Partner
Team: Manchester

As a schoolboy Mark dreamed of playing football, but with hindsight he made a wise decision to use his math skills to begin a career in accountancy at Royce, Peeling & Green in 1976. Once qualified, Mark joined Champion in 1988 as a manager, before becoming partner in 1990.

As client partner at Champion Accountants, Mark acts as the trusted adviser to a portfolio of more than 100 clients, providing advice to a broad mix of businesses ranging from small limited companies to audit clients with turnover in excess of £30m. He also acts as the senior statutory auditor for Manchester, signing off all audit reports for the office.

A recent highlight of Mark’s time at Champion was taking part in the Trekfest Challenge in 2017, where he was part of a team of 13 Champion trekkers that completed a 50km hike to raise money for charity. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf and supporting his football team (Manchester United).

Being part of the Champion team for more than 30 years, you never know what to expect during a working day, but it has been most rewarding, both with the fantastic mix of clients together with a great team of people who work across all departments of the business.
