| National Minimum Wage Rates |  |
Last week the government accepted the independent Low Pay Commission’s (LPC) recommendations to increase this year’s adult and youth National Minimum Wage (NMW) rates.

| Tax-Free Childcare Scheme |  |
From autumn 2015, a new tax-free child care scheme will allow working families to claim 20% of childcare costs up to £6,000 for each child.
The scheme will be made available to families with both parents in work, although each earning less than £150,000 a year and must not already receive support through tax credits or the new Universal Credit.:: MORE |

| HMRC Plan to Close Enquiry Centres |  |
HMRC plans to shut down its enquiry centres and provide mobile advisors for taxpayers with particular needs.
If plans go ahead, a network of 281 enquiry centres will be closed and replaced by mobile, one-to-one support from advisors who will provide face to face help in a range of convenient locations, including an individual’s home or business.:: MORE |
